AC Milan were one of the busiest clubs in the summer and brought in a lot of players. Sandro Tonali’s sale allowed them to sign other quality players for different positions. One player who joined the club was Serbian forward Luka Jovic. The 25-year-old showed a lot of promise during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt. He was then brought by Real Madrid, but that move never worked in favour of the Serbian. He returned to loan to the German club and spent the last season at Serie A side Fiorentina.
The 25-year-old was signed by the Serie A giants on a season-long contract. He is not a first-choice strike and plays as a back-up for Olivier Giroud. However, Jovic is still young and has shown plenty of promise during his time in different European teams. Recently, the player scored his first goal of the season. Ability to get into goal-scoring positions
All teams need their strikers to find goal-scoring positions and wait for their creative players to find them. Luka Jovic has actively found space inside the penalty box. He averages 2.1 touches inside the box per 90 minutes and most of these touches have been made in front of the six-yard box. The player has also gone wide on occasions and taken touch in crucial attacking areas.
Luka Jovic was unable to make his mark in front of the goal for Milan this season. He broke his deadlock against Frosinone in a dominant win for AC Milan. Jovic netted his first goal for Milan in Serie A from a close range. Jovic’s seventh shot this season found the back of the net. He has attempted five shots in the last three matches in all competitions. Before this run, he failed to take a shot in four consecutive matches.
